The SL 111 product utilizes aluminum, stainless steel, and nylon as the primary materials that make up the construction of the system. The acrynar finish ensures that minor cleaning over the life of the product, will maintain its original apperance. One of the most desirable aspects of the SL111 is the design of the fascia box, which is what the fabric rolls up into when the unit is retracted. It provides a sophisticated look when attached to an exterior window or covered porch. The SL 111 can be fabricated with cable guides or track guides and can be motorized or manual. You can also add sun and wind sensors as well as timers to automatically raise and lower your shades even when you are away from home.

The locking screws on the front of the box allow the box to be opened and serviced without having to remove it or the tracks from the structure. The system also has set screws to further secure the hood and prevent pop-outs.
| The top has a deep channel to allow for mounting screw clearance. The brush strip eliminates any light gaps.
| As seen above there are brush strips on both sides of the fabric to reduce the chances of foreign objects entering the box during operation.

Both ceiling and wall brackets have been designed from the ground up for structural stability and ease of installation. The bracket is mounted to the wall, and the hood is put in place and fixed with the two set screws.
| This idle bracket has been created to allow for ease of installation. Simply remove the bolt and slide out the roll tube to remove the fabric.
| In this photo you can see the deep channel for mounting screw heads as well as both the ceiling and the wall brackets. The wall mount bracket has a low profile 3mm clearance to allow it to be mounted as flush to the wall as possible.

Even with pressure directly applied to sun shade screens, it remains tightly locked into the side tracks for superior fabric stability. The shock absorber placed between the PVC channel and the inside edge of the aluminum track keep most of the tension off of the zipper and maintain the bottom bar level. Inside or outside mounted, SHY ZIP is easily installed onto most surfaces. The tracks may be mounted in various ways, such as surface mount or integrated into the structure to basically conceal the tracks from obvious view. Ideal applications for zip tracks include fabric stabilization and insect control.
The maximum width for exterior shades are 16 feet. The maximum height is 12 feet. (may vary depending on configuration). The materials consist of a corrosion resistant galvanized steel roller tube, and the casing is a powered aluminum cassette and side tracks. The colors available are White, Desert Sand and Bronze and anodized aluminum.
